Student ID Card Issuance Guide

1. Purpose of the Student ID Card

The student ID card can be used for:

  • Student identification
  • Electronic attendance check in classrooms
  • Access to the library and designated campus buildings (including night access)
  • Transportation card function
  • W-UNI Check Card function

2. Eligibility

  • Undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled or on leave of absence at Kookmin University

3. Issuance Period

  • Starting from May 4, 2026

4. Issuance Hours

  • Weekdays: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • No issuance during lunch break (11:30 AM – 1:00 PM)

5. Application / Issuance / Registration Procedures

A. Bank-linked Student ID Card

  1. Visit the on-campus Woori Bank and receive the student ID card.
  2. (Optional) Change the student photo if necessary.
  3. Log in to the ONKookmin Portal and print out the application form.
  4. Visit the Integrated Service Center with:
    • the issued student card, and
    • the printed application form.
Portal Application Path
  • ONKookmin Portal → KCARD → ID Card → MY ID Card
New Card Issuance
  • Apply for a regular ID card
  • Enter mobile phone number
  • Submit application and print the application form
Reissuance
  • Suspend/restore ID card usage
  • Select the reason for reissuance (loss or damage)
  • Reapply for the regular ID card
  • Enter mobile phone number
  • Submit application and print the application form
Photo Change
  • Students wishing to change their photo must request the change through their department office before card issuance.

B. Non-bank Student ID Card

  1. (Optional) Change the student photo if necessary.
  2. Apply for the student ID card through the ONKookmin Portal and print the application form.
  3. Visit the Integrated Service Center and submit the printed application form.

6. Activation of Student ID Functions

  • Student ID functions are activated immediately after issuance.
  • For the Integrated Administrative System, card functions become available approximately 4 hours after card registration.
