4. Important Information Regarding Graduation Evaluation
A. Graduation Status
If your graduation status is "Not Eligible for Graduation" or "Program Completed", you must review the detailed reason for the result.
B. Graduation Thesis and Graduation Certification
Students in departments requiring a graduation thesis, comprehensive examination, language proficiency, professional certification, practical performance, or other graduation assessments will not be eligible for graduation if they fail to satisfy these departmental graduation requirements.
C. Double Major / Minor
Even if your double major or minor is marked as "Passed," you cannot be awarded the additional major or minor unless your primary major graduation status is "Graduated."
If your primary major result is "Not Eligible for Graduation" or "Program Completed," the double major or minor will not be awarded.
D. ABEEK (Engineering Accreditation)
Students enrolled in an ABEEK Advanced Engineering Program must satisfy both:
- the general graduation requirements for their primary major, and
- all ABEEK program requirements.
Failure to complete the ABEEK requirements may result in a graduation status of "Not Eligible for Graduation" or "Program Completed."
Students who do not satisfy the ABEEK requirements should contact their department office for detailed information.
E. Students with Program Completion Status
Students with Program Completion status:
- are not required to pay tuition;
- cannot apply for a leave of absence;
- cannot register for courses.
Students who received Program Completion status because of unmet departmental certification, graduation thesis, or ABEEK portfolio requirements must fulfill the remaining graduation requirements within two years of their initial completion date.
Failure to graduate within this two-year period will result in academic dismissal.
F. Students Who Completed the Program in August 2024
Students who obtained Program Completion status in August 2024 and remain in Program Completion status after the 2025 Academic Year Fall Graduation Evaluation will be dismissed from the University on August 19, 2026, upon expiration of the two-year completion period.
