Notice on Cross-Registration at Domestic Universities for Fall 2026
Kookmin University students who wish to take courses at other Korean universities through the domestic cross-registration program are advised to review the following information.
1. Application Period
- Until the nomination deadline set by the host university.
2. Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled at Kookmin University after completing at least two semesters by Fall 2026.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Not be on a leave of absence.
Not Eligible
- Students expected to graduate in February 2027 (8th semester or above; 10th semester or above for five-year programs).
3. How to Apply
ON Kookmin Portal → Academic Services → Academic Administration → Domestic University Cross-Registration
4. Selection
- Up to 3% of each department's enrollment quota.
5. Nomination Process
- After applications close, Kookmin University will nominate selected students to the host university.
- Some universities require students to complete an additional online application and obtain approval from the Office of Academic Affairs before submission. Please check the host university's instructions carefully.
6. Important Notes
- Students may take courses simultaneously at Kookmin University and the host university within the permitted credit limit.
- Credits exceeding the maximum allowable limit will not be recognized.
- Course information must be provided when applying.
- Tuition must be paid to Kookmin University.
- Credits earned at the host university will be transferred according to Kookmin University's credit recognition policy.
- Students seeking teaching certification credit recognition must consult the Department of Education before applying.
- Course registration procedures and schedules vary by university; refer to each university's website.
- Grades from the host university will be transferred after the official grade exchange period, so they may appear later than Kookmin University grades.
7. Scholarship & Housing
- Students applying for the National Scholarship or university scholarships/dormitory programs should review the minimum credit requirements at Kookmin University.
- Credits earned only through the host university may not count toward certain scholarship requirements.
