Notice on Academic Gown Rental for Graduates (Fall 2025 Graduation)

The Office of Academic Affairs announces the academic gown rental procedures for students graduating in Fall 2025 as follows.

1. Bachelor's and Master's Degree Candidates

Eligibility

Students expected to graduate in Fall 2025

Reservation Procedure

• Eligible students must access the reservation link individually and submit a rental reservation in advance.
• On the reserved date, students should visit the rental location to collect their academic gown.
• Each college (or department) is requested to inform eligible students of this notice.

Rental Date

August 19, 2026 (Wed)
Choose either the morning or afternoon session.

Each graduate may rent one gown once only (collection and return on the same day).

Rental Location

2nd Floor, Gymnasium
(Same location for both collection and return)

Rental Procedures

Collection

• Gowns must be collected and returned individually (department representatives cannot collect them in bulk).
• Present your student ID and leave it with the staff while borrowing the gown.
• Rental fee (including cleaning): KRW 10,000 (cash payment on site)

Rental Hours

• Morning: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM (Return by 12:30 PM)
• Afternoon: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Return by 4:00 PM)

Return

• Return the gown after confirming its condition.
• Your student ID will be returned upon gown return.
• If someone else returns the gown on your behalf, any resulting issues will be the student's responsibility.
• The renter is responsible for compensation in the event of loss, theft, or damage.

Important Notes

1. Each department should encourage graduating students to complete their reservations within the application period so they can collect their gowns on the designated date.
2. Since gowns are prepared based on advance reservations, students who do not make a reservation in advance will NOT be able to rent a gown on the day.
3. For inquiries, send a text message (phone calls are not accepted) to the rental company:

4. Students wishing to rent a gown for personal photo shoots outside the designated rental period should contact the rental company directly.

Important Notes

1. Doctoral candidates should apply well in advance, as requests made immediately before the graduation ceremony may not be fulfilled due to gown production time.
2. The renter is responsible for any loss, theft, or damage.
3. Rental fee (including cleaning): KRW 99,000 (cash payment on site).
4. Students must leave their student ID when collecting the gown and must collect and return the gown individually.

3. Deans, Graduate School Deans, and Flag Bearers

Rental Method

• The Office of Academic Affairs will arrange group rentals.
• No rental fee will be charged.
• No university-wide events organized by the Office of Academic Affairs are scheduled.
