1. Key Schedule & Information

• Application Period: July 1 (Wed) – July 10 (Fri), 2026

• How to Apply: ON-Kookmin Portal → Portal → Student Services → Scholarship Application

• Results Announcement: Expected on July 17, 2026 (Fri)

• Scholarship Amount: 1,000,000 KRW (Expected to be paid in early August 2026)

2. Scholarship Details (Choose 1 out of 3 types)

⚠️ Note: You can only apply for one of the three scholarship types below. Students extending their graduation/remaining for extra semesters (초과학기생) are not eligible to apply.

Type A: Academic Encouragement Scholarship (학업 독려 장학금)

• Target Audience: Students who have good academic records but could not receive merit-based scholarships because they do not have a TOPIK score.

• Eligibility: Must meet all of the following:

  • Did not receive the 2026-1 merit-based scholarship.

  • Completed 4 or more semesters (3rd year or higher).

  • Do not hold TOPIK Level 4 or higher.

• Required Documents: Application Form.

• Selection Criteria: Evaluation of academic GPA & TOPIK Acquisition Plan (Must not hold TOPIK Level 4 or higher as of the selection date).

Type B: TOPIK Acquisition Encouragement Scholarship (TOPIK 취득 독려 장학금)

• Target Audience: Students whose grades improved significantly compared to the previous semester, but could not receive merit-based scholarships due to a lack of TOPIK score.

• Eligibility: Must meet all of the following:

  • Did not receive the 2026-1 merit-based scholarship.

  • Completed 2 or more semesters (2nd year or higher).

  • Do not hold TOPIK Level 4 or higher.

• Required Documents: Application Form & TOPIK Acquisition Plan.

• Selection Criteria: Rate of GPA improvement over the last two semesters.

Type C: Living Expense Support Scholarship (생활비 지원 장학금)

• Target Audience: Students experiencing financial difficulties during their study abroad life.

• Eligibility: Must meet all of the following:

  • Completed 1 or more semesters (1st year or higher).

  • Requires financial support for living expenses.

• Required Documents: Application Form, Scholarship Utilization Plan, and Supporting Evidence (documents or photos that back up your plan).

• Selection Criteria: Evaluation of the Scholarship Utilization Plan and submitted supporting evidence.

3. Important Notes on Documents

• You must use the official designated forms.

• Designated forms can be downloaded directly from the Scholarship Application menu on the ON-Kookmin Portal.
